48V-Class Golf Cart Projects

Review the 51.2V 210Ah battery or discuss other voltage and capacity options. Check the current specification sheet for the exact model; similar series names may refer to different configurations.

Match Power, Range and Charging

Continuous Current and Peak Current

Hill climbing, passenger loads and acceleration place different demands on the battery. Compare continuous discharge current with the sustained load, and check the permitted peak current and its duration separately. A peak rating is not a continuous operating rating.

Capacity and Driving Range

Range depends on usable energy, payload, terrain, speed, tires, accessories and temperature. Share daily distance and operating conditions so the battery can be sized for your use. We do not assign a universal mileage figure to a battery capacity.

Charger and Vehicle Compatibility

Confirm the charging profile, connector and battery charge limits. Review regenerative braking, controller communication and any 12V accessories or DC-DC converter before conversion. A lead-acid charger should not be reused unless compatibility has been confirmed.

LiFePO4 for Daily Fleet Operation

Compared with flooded lead-acid batteries, LiFePO4 packs remove the need for watering and can reduce battery weight. Regular inspection of cables, terminals, mounting and battery condition is still required. Charging time and service life depend on the selected model and operating conditions.

Monitoring and OEM/ODM Options

Depending on the model and project scope, discuss Bluetooth monitoring, displays, CAN or RS485 communication, enclosure design, cable lengths, connectors and branding. Confirm the available functions and protocol compatibility in the agreed specification.

Follow the model manual for storage state of charge, temperature limits and inspection intervals. Avoid storing a discharged battery and check accessory loads during long periods of inactivity.
