Commercial Energy Storage Projects in the Netherlands

Apr 02, 2026

Wiren’s commercial energy storage project update from the Netherlands brings together two system formats: floor-standing batteries and high-voltage stackable storage. Local channel partners coordinated installation and commissioning, with configurations selected around electricity demand, available space and expansion plans.

Floor-Standing Storage for Different Site Requirements

The reported installations include a single 16kWh unit, a 32kWh configuration with two units in parallel, and an 80kWh configuration with five units in parallel. These examples show how battery capacity can be selected for different commercial applications, rather than applying one configuration to every site.

For a new project, battery energy is one part of the specification. The inverter or PCS, required power, charging conditions, installation environment and system interfaces also need to be reviewed together.

40kWh High-Voltage Stackable Storage

The same project update includes a 40kWh high-voltage stackable configuration for sites where equipment layout and available installation space influenced the selection. Its suitability for another project depends on that project’s electrical design and installation requirements.

From Equipment Selection to Installation

Local coordination connects the selected battery configuration with the installation plan. For a proposed system, confirm the exact model, inverter compatibility, expansion limits and applicable documentation before finalizing the configuration. The capacities in this report describe these installations; they are not a promise of a particular backup duration or financial return.
