Whether a Wiren battery can be paired with a Growatt inverter depends on the exact equipment and its supported configuration. Start with a model-specific compatibility review. A shared nominal voltage or communication-port label does not establish that two products can operate together.
Confirm the Battery and Inverter Models
Record the battery model, hardware version and intended configuration, together with the inverter's full model designation and regional version. Identify whether the proposed installation is off-grid, hybrid or another supported arrangement. Supply the relevant manuals and nameplate information to the technical team so the review concerns the actual equipment being installed.
Check the Supported Communication Protocol
CAN and RS485 identify communication interfaces, but the connected devices also need an agreed protocol and supported configuration. Request documentation showing how the selected models are intended to communicate. Confirm which battery information and limits the inverter can receive. Do not infer compatibility from a connector shape, a generic cable description or another model's installation.
Use Approved Charging and Protection Settings
Use model-specific documentation to establish the permitted voltage range, current limits and protection requirements. If a non-communicating operating mode is being considered, ask the responsible technical teams whether it is supported for this pairing. General online voltage settings should not replace the approved requirements for the selected battery and inverter.
Review Firmware and Commissioning Requirements
Include the installed firmware versions in the compatibility request and ask what configuration is supported. Obtain the relevant commissioning checklist, responsibility assignments and fault-reporting information. Changes should follow the equipment providers' documented process. Keep the reviewed documents with the system records so future service work can refer to the same approved pairing and configuration.
